The Reef Star. Nice France 2025

Join us for the public unveiling of The ReefLine’s French Riviera Star, a monumental installation by Carlos Betancourt & Alberto Latorre and curated by Ximena Caminos. This striking sculptural work fuses cutting-edge Blue Tech with contemporary art to advance ocean resilience. Set in the heart of Nice, it marks the next chapter in The ReefLine’s global constellation of eco-art interventions—first conceived in Miami Beach and now reimagined for the Mediterranean. Celebrate UNOC3 with us and witness the rise of a new symbol of hope from the sea: a beacon of resilience, art, and regeneration.

Unveiled  at the Jardin Albert 1er in Nice for #UNOC3, The Reef Star is the twin of our future underwater installation off the shore of Miami Beach.

Created by artists @carlosbetancourtartist and @albertolatorrearchitecture  with The ReefLine, this hybrid reef sculpture is crafted by carbon-storing, marine-friendly materials by #Vicat, and designed to be a coral-studded shelter for marine life. 

The Reef Star transforms into a living habitat and stands as a beacon of hope, creativity and conservation—rising from the sea to unite communities across continents in a shared commitment to the future of our blue planet.
