At the height of the Miami Beach renaissance. Helen Cevern Gallery was the main cutting edge gallery, presenting some of the most avant garde contemporary art exhibits in South Beach. The gallery was also a hang-out during the underground years of South Beach. Directed by Helen Cevern ( Helen MZ Hardwood) previously wiht the Whiteny Museum, the gallery exhibited works by artists such as Kenny Scharf, Carlos Betancourt and Alvaro Garcia.
